After Words with Kathryn Edin

Kathryn Edin talked about her book, $2.00 a Day: Living on Almost Nothing in America, about her recent findings on poverty in the United States. In her book, Professor Edin profiles families from Chicago to Appalachia to the Mississippi Delta, and reports that a growing number of American families are surviving on virtually no income. She spoke about how and why the number of American families living on $2.00 per day per person has grown to 1.5 million American households, including about 3 million children. She was interviewed by Representative Gwen Moore (D-WI).
